This policy describes how the Tagzy website handles information. It is written in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, and it is not legal advice.
Summary
Tagzy runs its tools in your browser. The text you enter is processed on your own device and is never transmitted to us. There are no user accounts, so we hold no profile, email address or password for you.
Information you enter into tools
Keywords, captions, article text and any other input you type or paste is handled entirely by JavaScript running in your browser. It is not uploaded, logged or stored on any server we operate. Closing the tab discards it unless you deliberately saved it.
Information stored in your browser
Saved collections, tag boards, content sets, favourite tools, recently used tools and your privacy choice are stored using your browser's local storage, under keys beginning with tagzy:. This data stays on your device. We cannot read it, and it is not synchronised between devices. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it permanently.
Cookies and similar technologies
Tagzy sets no tracking cookies. The only storage it uses by default is the necessary local storage described above. If analytics or advertising are added in future, they will only run after you opt in through the privacy banner, and this policy will be updated before that happens. See the cookie policy for detail.
Advertising
Some pages reserve space for advertising. No advertising network is connected at this time, so no ad-related data is collected. If a network is introduced, it will be named here, gated behind consent, and disclosed on the pages where it appears.
Hosting and server logs
Like any website, Tagzy is served by a hosting provider that may record standard request information such as IP address, user agent and requested URL for security and reliability purposes. This is server infrastructure logging, not analytics we operate, and it never includes the content you type into a tool.
Your rights
Under GDPR, UK GDPR and the CCPA you have rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data a service holds about you. Because Tagzy holds no personal data on any server, most of these rights you can exercise directly: your data lives in your browser, you can export it from any collections page, and clearing site data deletes it. We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not collect it.
Children
Tagzy is a general-purpose planning tool and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially, the change will be reflected on this page. Questions about privacy can be sent through the contact page.
