What the Content Idea Tagger does

The Content Idea Tagger takes a backlog of ideas and attaches keywords and hashtags to each one individually, so your idea list arrives pre-tagged rather than needing a second pass.

How it works

Each line is analysed on its own: stop words are removed, the remaining words are ranked, and the top few become both plain keywords and hashtags for that idea.

  1. 1Paste your idea backlog, one idea per line.
  2. 2Choose how many tags each idea should receive.
  3. 3Generate the tagged list.
  4. 4Copy any single idea's tags with its group button.
  5. 5Export the whole tagged backlog for your planner.

Worked example

'Best containers for meal prep' is tagged with 'containers', 'meal', 'prep' and #containers, #meal, #prep.

Who uses it

  • Pre-tagging a content backlog
  • Making an idea list searchable later
  • Preparing a batch of posts in one sitting
  • Handing a tagged backlog to a social manager

Best practices

  • Write ideas as full descriptive lines, not two-word fragments.
  • Keep tags per idea low — three is usually enough.
  • Merge single-word tags into phrases where it reads better.
  • Re-tag when an idea's angle changes.

Honest limitations

Tags come from the words in each idea line, so a vaguely worded idea produces vague tags. Only the first twenty-five ideas are processed per run.

Frequently asked questions

Why only twenty-five ideas?
It keeps the result readable; run again for the rest of your backlog.
Can I get phrase tags?
Use the Social Content Tag Extractor on the full idea text for phrases.
Are tags unique per idea?
Yes, each idea is analysed independently.
