What the Keyword Expander does
The Keyword Expander takes a whole list at once and multiplies it with a shared modifier and suffix library, so a ten-word seed list becomes a working research list in a single pass.
How it works
Each seed is normalised and then combined with up to eight prefixes and eight suffixes. Duplicates across seeds are removed and the total is capped by your limit setting.
- 1Paste one keyword per line.
- 2Choose whether to apply prefixes, suffixes or both.
- 3Set a maximum result count so the list stays usable.
- 4Generate and review the expanded set.
- 5Send the output to the Cluster Builder to organise it.
Worked example
Seeds 'yoga' and 'mobility' expand into 'best yoga', 'yoga checklist', 'easy mobility' and 'mobility routine'.
Who uses it
- Scaling a small seed list into a research sheet
- Preparing bulk input for clustering
- Building large tag pools for campaigns
- Generating title variations for a video series
Best practices
- Keep seeds tight — ten strong seeds beat fifty vague ones.
- Turn off suffixes when your seeds are already long.
- Always cap the result count before exporting.
- Clean the output with the Keyword Cleaner afterwards.
Honest limitations
Expansion is combinatorial, so output grows fast and will include unnatural phrasings you should delete manually.
Frequently asked questions
- How many seeds can I paste?
- There is no hard cap, but the result limit keeps output manageable.
- Why are some phrases awkward?
- Every combination is generated mechanically; deleting weak ones is part of the workflow.
- Does order matter?
- Prefix results appear before suffix results for each seed.
