What the Product Hashtag Generator does
The Product Hashtag Generator turns a product listing into three tag layers — the product itself, its category, and the attributes that describe how it is made or who it suits.
How it works
Product, category and each attribute are combined using ecommerce-oriented frames such as 'buy', 'shop' and 'lover', then converted to valid tags.
- 1Enter the product name as a shopper would say it.
- 2Add the category it belongs to.
- 3List the attributes that matter — material, ethics, style.
- 4Generate the three layers.
- 5Use one tag from each layer per post.
Worked example
'linen tote bag' in category 'bags' with attribute 'handmade' yields #linentotebag, #bagslover and #handmadebags.
Who uses it
- Tagging product photos for a shop
- Preparing tags for a new collection launch
- Covering both product and category audiences
- Highlighting sustainability or craft attributes
Best practices
- Mix one product tag, one category tag and one attribute tag.
- Use words shoppers use, not internal SKU language.
- Keep attribute claims truthful and verifiable.
- Reuse the category tags across the whole line.
Honest limitations
Tagzy cannot verify attribute claims. Only tag a product as handmade or sustainable if that is genuinely accurate.
Frequently asked questions

- A handful is usually enough — one per layer plus a branded tag.
- Should I tag the SKU?
- Only if customers actually search it; usually they do not.
- Can it check tag popularity?
- No, Tagzy displays no popularity data.
