What the Social Media Tag Generator does
The Social Media Tag Generator takes one topic and formats it for four platforms in a single pass, respecting each platform's casing and length conventions.
How it works
A shared base list is generated once, then rendered differently per platform: lowercase for Instagram and TikTok, PascalCase and a smaller count for LinkedIn, and a comma-joined string for YouTube's tag field.
- 1Enter the topic you are cross-posting about.
- 2Set the number of tags per platform.
- 3Generate all four blocks.
- 4Copy the block for the platform you are posting to.
- 5Trim anything that does not fit that specific post.
Worked example
'home office setup' produces #homeofficesetup for Instagram, #HomeOfficeSetup for LinkedIn, and a comma list for YouTube.
Who uses it
- Cross-posting one piece of content everywhere
- Preparing a launch across several channels
- Keeping tag style consistent per platform
- Saving time on repetitive tag formatting
Best practices
- Adjust each block for the specific post rather than pasting blindly.
- Keep LinkedIn sets smallest.
- Match casing conventions per platform.
- Store the four blocks as one collection per campaign.
Honest limitations
Conventions differ and change. Tagzy applies widely used formatting norms, not verified platform rules.
