What the Hashtag Mixer does

The Hashtag Mixer interleaves two hashtag lists so each output set draws evenly from both sources, then splits the blend into ready-to-paste chunks.

How it works

Tags are taken alternately from list A and list B, cleaned to valid hashtag characters, deduplicated, and finally sliced into sets of your chosen size.

  1. 1Paste your first hashtag list.
  2. 2Add the second list in the option field.
  3. 3Choose how many tags each mixed set should hold.
  4. 4Generate the interleaved output.
  5. 5Copy one mixed set per post.

Worked example

Lists ['#coffee','#espresso'] and ['#morning','#cafe'] interleave to #coffee, #morning, #espresso, #cafe.

Who uses it

  • Blending brand tags with community tags
  • Mixing broad and niche sets evenly
  • Combining two campaign tag lists
  • Creating varied blocks from two approved libraries

Best practices

  • Keep the two lists similar in length for an even blend.
  • Clean both lists first so casing stays consistent.
  • Cap set size to whatever your platform allows.
  • Save the mixed sets as a collection for reuse.

Honest limitations

Interleaving is positional, so a much longer list will dominate the tail of the blend.

Frequently asked questions
